The ten seconds before they decide to call you.

Why you need it

A client, a supplier, a partner, somebody deciding whether to work with you at all. Almost all of them look you up before they speak to you, and almost all of them have decided something about you before the page has finished loading.

Some companies want enquiries out of a site. Some want their business presented properly and nothing more. Either way the site has the same job: whoever arrives should leave treating you as a serious company.

  1. 01What they see now
  2. 02What we change
  3. 03What happens next

A page that takes its time, says what the company does in language nobody uses, and leaves the one question they came with unanswered. The tab closes and you never hear about it.

The answer goes at the top. The proof goes underneath it, named and checkable. Everything that was there to fill space comes off.

The enquiry that arrives already knowing what you do, from somebody who has decided you are worth a conversation. And the questions that stop arriving, because the page answered them first.

How we do it

The same order every time, because the order is most of the answer.

  1. 01

We work out who is actually looking

Somebody meeting you for the first time wants a different opening screen from somebody who already knows you. We find out which of them actually arrives at your site, and build for them.

  2. 02

The answer goes on the first screen

What you do, who you do it for, and one reason to believe it. Everything else on the page is support for those three.

  3. 03

    It has to load here

On a Tanzanian mobile connection, on a handset that is a few years old. A site that only performs on an office fibre line is a site half your visitors never see.

  4. 04

It has to hold up when somebody checks

Real names, a real registration, and a profile they can download. Anybody weighing you up seriously will look for those, and a tender committee will look for them first.

Do not let your business run on one person’s memory.
